Caligari tells the tale of the eponymous doctor and his somnambulist sidekick, Cesare. Cesare can predict the future: most importantly the time of death of anyone who asks. Even though Cesare predicts it, a couple investigate the mysterious death of their friend, and so they find out the true identity of the doctor.
