It’s considered one of the best romantic films of all time, and who are we to argue with that! Unseen Cinema is proud to present our Valentine’s special screening of Casablanca.
Humphrey Bogart stars as Rick, the owner of a nightclub in Casablanca during its Vichy France-Nazi occupation in the Second World War. He claims to be an apolitical man, but the chance arrival of his former lover Ilsa (Ingrid Bergman) and her resistance fighter husband forces Rick to consider his loyalties, and confront his unresolved feelings for Ilsa.
We hope to welcome you back to the Shire Hall for our first screening of 2020 for an evening of cinematic love and romance.
