Marcel the Shell with Shoes On is a live-action/stop-motion animated mockumentary comedy-drama film directed by Dean Fleischer Camp. The film follows Marcel, a shell who lives with his grandmother, Connie, and their pet lint, Alan. This quirky stop-motion animation film has been developed from a series of online short films of the same name.

Marcel and his grandmother were once part of a large community of shells, they now live alone… When a documentary filmmaker discovers them amongst the clutter of his Airbnb, the short film he posts online brings Marcel millions of fans, and a hope of finding his long-lost family.
